These terms govern your use of the Paint Visualizer app for iOS. By downloading or using the app you agree to them.
What Paint Visualizer is
Paint Visualizer shows how a surface in your photo could look in a chosen paint color, and gives you the color's name and code. It is a visualization to help you decide, not a guarantee of how paint will look on a wall. Screens differ, photos are taken in one light at one moment, and paint changes with sheen, the surface underneath and the number of coats.
Before you buy paint
Confirm a color with a sample from the manufacturer or the store before painting a room. The paint calculator is an estimate from the dimensions and the coverage figure you enter; the tin's own figure and the condition of the surface decide the real amount. We are not responsible for paint bought or work carried out from a preview, a match or an estimate.
What is free
Instant color previews on your own photos, camera matching, twenty one-tap surface selections a day, one saved project with two surfaces, standard export, the built-in color palette and one Photoreal render are free on every installation. That is the free tier, not a trial: nothing starts, nothing renews and no payment method is needed.
Pro
The optional Pro plan unlocks unlimited projects and surfaces, four colors side by side, thirty Photoreal renders per rolling seven days, HD export without the corner line, and white-sheet calibration for camera matching. It is sold as a weekly or a yearly auto-renewing subscription; both prices are shown in the app before you buy, and no trial period is offered. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store account settings.
Your allowance
A Photoreal render that fails, and a tap that finds no paintable surface, never count against your allowance. If you stop waiting for a render the server has started, it is still made and counted. The counts are kept on our server and shown in the app before you spend them.
What you may photograph
Only photograph property you own or have permission to photograph, and do not submit photographs of people, of other people's property without their agreement, or content that is unlawful. We may refuse to process an image.
Your pictures
Your photo is yours, and so are the previews, renders and share pictures the app makes from it, including for commercial use — for example to show a client or a painter. Photoreal renders are produced by a machine learning model and may resemble renders made for other people from similar photos.
Paint brands
Paint color names, codes and brand names belong to their respective owners. Paint Visualizer is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any paint manufacturer. Matches to a manufacturer's colors are approximate, computed from published color values, and depend on your screen and on the light in which a photo or a camera reading was taken.
Acceptable use
Paint Visualizer is licensed to you for personal use on Apple devices you own or control, under the standard Apple licensed-application terms. Do not use the service to process images unrelated to painting surfaces, and do not make automated requests outside the app.
No warranty
Paint Visualizer is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or from decisions made on the basis of its previews, matches or estimates.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The date above shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
